Yes to 2023, No to New Year Resolutions

Over the years, I've picked up a few tips on making resolutions for the new year. I've discovered that relying solely on New Year's resolutions can be impractical and even harmful to our long-term success, even though it's normal to want to set objectives and make positive changes in the new year.

One problem with New Year's resolutions is that they frequently call for overnight changes to our routines and conduct. It can be challenging to maintain a sudden change of this magnitude, and it's typical for people to lose interest and abandon their resolutions after a few weeks or months.

Another issue with New Year's resolutions is that they frequently center on transient objectives like shedding pounds or saving money. While they are worthwhile endeavors, they are often superficial short-term objectives that fail to genuinely excite and encourage us over the long haul.

What would be a better option than making New Year's resolutions? Try making more manageable, smaller goals that can be accomplished over time rather than big, all-or-nothing ones. Instead of attempting to completely change your life all at once, this strategy enables you to go forward gradually.

Additionally, attempt to develop goals that are relevant and gratifying to you individually rather than concentrating on external goals. When times are bad, this can keep you focused and motivated.

Finally, feel free to seek out assistance and support. A support system can help you reach your goals, whether by joining a support group or working with a coach or mentor.

So, as you embark on this new year, remember that lasting change doesn't happen overnight. Instead, focus on setting

If you are one of these, you wont make it to the top.

There are many kinds of people, I see them every day, some are hard-working, some are lazy, some are smart, some are stupid, and a few are miserable. But none of them know what they are, and when they know it, it will be too late.
It doesn't concern me what people are or what they do as long as they don't cross paths with me.
But being a blogger I must come up with something to write. And for some reason, Time, Hard Work, and Success are my favorite topics. I can speak on these topics for hours.

So I have gathered 3 reasons I believe why some people will fail, or won't grow in life.

1. Disrespecting Time

"Lost time is never found again" - Benjamin Franklin

Unsuccessful people don’t value their time. They are everywhere, anywhere, anytime because they lack the ability to dedicate their time towards their goals. And year after year they make new promises which never come to fruition simply because they couldn’t be bothered to put in the time required toward their goals. Time management skills, learning how to say no, and knowing what commitments to undertake, is a step towards great success in any area of our lives.

2. No Goals

It’s not hard to make decisions when you know what your values are.” – Roy Disney

The more important a goal is, the higher it will be on your hierarchy of values and the more discipline and order you will have associated with it. The less important a goal is, the lower it will be on your hierarchy of values and the less discipline and more disorder you’ll have associated with it. Unsuccessful people have mistaken busyness for productivity. They are a part of everything but nothing which they do is in alignment with their values and their goals. Writing down in a journal your goals and implementing strategies that can get you there will help you identify things that are not on par with where you are going.

3. Making Excuses

If you can’t make it good, at least make it look good” – Bill Gates

These are the people who will find reasons and logic as to why they can’t and why they shouldn’t. They sometimes mistake this abhorrent tendency for “just being realistic”. They lack imagination and always find ways to justify why something shouldn’t be but they never really try. The best remedy for this is to stop your mind when it’s about to start making excuses and re-ignite the engine that has started it all.

Then again, these are my personal opinions, Do whatever you want. It's your life.

Leadership Superpowers

Just like our body parts have different functions, the employees in an organization have different functions too. Some build, some test, some implement, some maintain etc etc. But most crucial and important role I believe is of the leader of the organization. I'm talking about the CEOs, Vice Presidents, people who matter and make decisions that millions of employee follow without any question. The Leader is the one who drives the complete work/project and delivers extraordinary results. The competition is very tough upstairs. Hence it is important for a leader to maintain the position and cut the revolt which may rise from inside or out. These people reach the heights through their natural talent and hard work. On their way to the top, they develop some powers which are must have to reach the throne and maintain the position. We can put these powers in many ways but I'll take 4 powers here as mentioned below.

1.) Intellectual Power
This is the power of knowledge which one develops throughout his career and keeps learning more and more. The highest paid executives are recognized on their knowledge basis. Ratan Tata also said, the most important thing is knowledge and the best part is, it is very easily available nowadays, thanks to internet. But one should be determined to have the knowledge and put every nerve in the body to learn it. The power of intellect helps the leader to make important decision and will develop an insightful approach towards the challenges he will face,

2.) Man Power
A leader must have resources. Employees are the man power, the higher the leadership role goes, the bigger man power he gets. Man power lets the leader accomplish bigger goals which are result of the team work. A huge dream/project requires a lot of hard work, with predefined goals and roles a good team can achieve miraculous targets.

3.) Financial Power
Financial power is something we all understand is mandatory.  A leader should have enough source of financial support in order to fulfill requirements of the staff and the organization. I wont write much in this part, everyone knows to run a business you need money.

4.) Power of enthusiasm and morale
This is the most important power a leader should have. The enthusiasm and morale drives employees to work twice as hard and deliver. The leader should not be too strict and not too lenient, the effect of a true leader lasts even after he is gone, workplace bullies should fear form him in his absence. The hard working people should be recognized and rewarded in order to do more. A true motivational leader can drive his team to do a lot more, it will lead to success for him and his team too.

Note :  If you deliver more than you are getting paid, eventually you will be paid more.

Doing what you cannot do.

Please don't take the wrong message by the title, I do not mean you should do illegal things or wrong practices.

I'll rephrase a quote from Kung Fu Panda 3, Shifu says "If you only do what you can do you will never be more than who you are." Then again if you're happy with only what you can do then keep doing it. The work, the habits, the lifestyle these things determine what you can do or cannot do. There're a lot of people in this world and majority does stuff in conventional ways. Doing things differently makes us stand out of the crowd. If you're an employee and doing things that are assigned to you then you're only doing what you can do, but if you show a little more effort and give even more than expected then you'll climb that success ladder faster than your colleagues. But again it's not easy otherwise everyone could have done it. It takes much more and this applies in every field be it work or business. Going the extra mile, one more shot, when you're all done with push-ups but you do one more set anyways, that one extra set makes all the difference. So go for it don't sit your ass down watching cellphone or tv.

You

I have not written anything lately, because to be honest I feel it hard to put my thoughts on a sheet, I just don't get motivated enough. But then I remembered something which was the very base why I started my blog.

Anything you write, will be read by at least one more person than you. So I write for that one person.

The topic here is "You" its a very interesting topic and one can write a book about it.
You see, the only person who can make you feel better, or make you feel bad is only you.
We feel happy or sad, because we want to feel happy or sad. And the medium is our expectations, A person with least expectations is always the happy one, because he can survive in the least favorable conditions. On the other hand when we look for comfort and want things according to us we cannot survive that environment and get hurt. You can relate this to everything in your life, love, money, success etc. So I would suggest you to give at least  10 minutes of your day to think about these 3 things, it will make you a better person.

- Who am I  ?
- What am I doing ?
- Why am I here ?

You may not get these answers straight away, but soon you will figure all this out.

See you soon...

The Decade of your life.

I was born on 25th of November 1991 that makes me 24 years old now.

It's time to reevaluate one's life. I believe and follow a philosophy that the age between 20 to 30 is the most productive and decision making decade of your lifetime. These 10 years either make you or break you. One should know how to utilize this time and make the most of it. Think practically, during these years, you're most energetic, passionate, fresh, powerful. You can use all these powers to make your life more comfortable and reach the state of success. After 30 you'll have your family to worry about, your kids, your ageing parents. You won't be able to focus in one direction. After 30 you can't physically or mentally give enough to your career/business so by then you should make your life comfortable enough to take care of those losses you'll have to deal with.

Then again if you don't want any of the stuff mentioned above and want to live your life like many teenagers, then go travel the world, have fun, party and hangout with friends. Whatever you do, remember, you won't get these 10 years back. So spend wisely.

I've completed 4 years of this decade. And so far I'm in a pretty good position in my career. I've 6 more years but I'll do it in less than that.

Stay focused, work hard, earn respect.
Respect is far more valuable than money.

Ownership - The Corporate World

All those who work in corporate industry know what its like when the manager comes to you and asks about a problem, now if you whine about it, its not a good idea. You need to take ownership in the job you do. If you are assigned to do a job then all the headache is yours, the issues you will face, the solutions, everything. You are supposed to get the job done no matter what issues you face, if you have a problem then do not speak until you have a solution to it. If you take a good look at all the successful people out there you will find that, all of them know their job, they take their time, they get the job done.

I am writing about ownership because I come across many people who do not take responsibility in their actions, and I just don't get it, when it comes to appreciation everyone is like *me* but when it comes to criticism they are like *he*. Its not good morally and socially too, you will lose respect.
When you take ownership, you might be taking responsibility for many people's mistake but that makes the difference, Ownership takes you to the next level, eventually you will realize the management notices your work and people respect you more. You will soon be one of those guys who makes the decision. But all this will happen if you follow some basic rules
-I get paid by the company I should be loyal to it.
-I should respect the company because I get respect because of it.
-I am assigned to work on this project and I will give my best.

Always remember, you will get the best if you give the best. Don't think you work gets unnoticed, never ever, everything you do, all your actions are noticed, so make sure you leave a good impression.
The theory of survival of the fittest fits at all scenarios.
Take ownership and you will see the difference.

The Anti-Social Network

Hi everyone,

I want you all to take good 5 minutes of your lives and give this idea a piece of your mind.
The cellphone we use, majorly for Social Network, I couldn't be more straight here, "Just stop over doing it"

You are thinking you are closer to the person you love but actually you are going away. These networks are here for communication, not to live your life on a wall. I go to facebook once or twice a day (Actually I am a YouTube addict) just to see what my friends are up to and after scrolling for 30 seconds I am back in the real world, with people who are with me. In future when you won't have the bones to walk, the courage to jump, the passion to ride, you will regret each and every unproductive second spent here on these cobwebs of internet.

You need to make most of everything we have, because life may seem long, but its actually really small when you begin to realize the joy of small things. You may not realize this, just have a look the facts below.
Users send out 58 million tweets per day, with 9,100 happening every second. However, there are 222 million Twitters who just watch other people’s tweets. There are 684,478 pieces of content shared on Facebook; 3,600 new photos on Instagram; 2,083 check-ins on Foursquare during every minute of everyday. People are spending 1 out of every 7 minutes on Facebook when online. Facebook users typically are spending 10.5 Billion minutes (almost 20,000 years) on the social network. And, that’s excluding mobile devices. See 20,000 Years, we can't even begin to imagine how valuable and priceless piece of time is wasted and it goes on.

If you are applying for a new job, you know your chances of getting that job may be so much reduced because of your social networking website profile page? Often employs search for applicant’s social networking website’s profile page to know more about you.  Maybe you have put some humorous pics in your profile or maybe you have entered wrong information (maybe just for fun) in your profile.  Your employer will be shocked to see all that and you will not be given the job offer.

Just think all of the technology is here to help you, not to become so dependent on it that when you do not have it, you can't live anymore. Clicking pictures of food before eating it, taking risky selfies just to get more likes, getting jealous because of less number of followers or likes, writing about your personal life in public, please stop all this, this makes you look pathetic and desperate.

Remember who you are, act accordingly.

To take credit or not ?

It's an odd topic and I am here to clear few things.
Whatever we do in life has a purpose, a motive, an outcome. That's why we do things right ?
But what about hobbies ? Dancing, Singing, Playing games etc. What do they do ?
You don't get paid for playing counter strike, nfs, candy crush. Then why do we do it ?

Its simple, because we like it, we love doing these things, it helps us and cheer us up.
Hobby can be anything at all, from serious research to staring at an empty wall. But whatever man, it makes us happy that's why we do it. Just like all these thing writing is also a hobby. but then people question you, you must have copied it from somewhere. I get accused many times for my blog, but people who say so are the ones who haven't read any of my post. Also they do not understand the concept of hobby. Someone did the same thing a while ago, but thanks to him he gave me the idea to write this one. He did one any of you would have done when you see my blog, its a work of years which I have put in it. Now, I also do not get paid for writing then why do I do it ? It's simple, first of all, I love to share whatever I learn with people, I believe if all of us were well educated then half of our problems would disappear. I don't do it for credit, that's what professional writers do. I write for myself, to express myself, to save my thoughts from being lost in this fast world. Our soldiers who fight to save us do not take credit, the secret service where unnamed people save our life. Credit is overrated (I say overrated a lot). When I woke up today, many people did not, So am I superior from them ? No. When I drove to work I did not hit any vehicle, Does that make me perfect driver ? No. Whatever we do, just remember there is someone out there who can do the same thing a lot better than you but the difference is he understands making a difference is more important than making an impression.

It's simple guys if you are doing it to impress others then you are a stupid a very stupid person.
Remember guys there is a lot more than taking credit, for example, to live.

The key to success

There are a lot more than 6 billion people on our planet. But only few are successful and rest of us are trying hard to reach on the top. What's the difference between us and them ? Are they chosen ? Are they special ? Do they posses any kind of superpower ? I believe the answer to all these questions is NO.

So what makes them so different ? Well I am 23 years old, I have my own beliefs and I am just expressing myself here. But you will find the answer everywhere. Heard that story "Thirsty Crow" ?
I bet yes, what he wanted was water otherwise he would have died due to dehydration, So to be realistic he wanted to live and the thing that he needed the most at that point of time was water. It's a bird yet somehow in the story it figures out Archimedes' principle. It's just a bird and we were made believe in school that the birds figures out the law of physics fundamental to fluid mechanics.

It's just a story, there's no proof that such incident ever took place. We can say our ancestors used this story to teach us an important lesson. What's your takeaway from this story ? Intelligence ? Hardwork ? Well actually No. It's all about initiative, the bird had to do something, the bird initiated something. We all have many many ideas, but how many of them we actually implement ? The first and very basic step is to take initiative, no matter how big or small, just do something towards the thing you want to achieve.

You like that girl ?  Ask her out.
You scared of the dark ? Go in the dark.
You have problems ?  Do the RCA.

You want to achieve success ?
Think it through, generate ideas, run theory, then choose one idea and implement it.
Success, money are kinda big deals, so your initiative should be big to.
The bird needed water when he was thirsty.
We also need water, if we are thirsty we can figure out ways to drink water.
Let's change the basic idea, we are not thirsty, we need water like once twice a day to survive.
But we need to breathe every time, you don't breathe you don't live.

When you will feel the urge to get success like you do to breathe.
My friend you will realize your vision and you will become a successful person at that very moment.

Becoming a man... Part 4

Please read the previous blog to get more of this one.

Now as you gain senses you realize you've lost many things, money, love, and respect. You see people laughing at you, people who got no standard or life of their own are laughing at you. There was a time when they used to get jealous of your name, respect and your personality was a threat to them, but you cannot do anything, you have to go with the flow, you have to believe in yourself again, bring that confidence and self-esteem that will blow their minds off. Become the man you always wanted to be or the one you were before some xx chromosome destroyed you. Always remember only the first step is hard, Believe in yourself, and this world will bow down to you. No matter how bad you messed things up, the story begins when you start responding to it, now keep calm and love yourself. Life's all about love and peace. Forgive and forget bad people they are not worth your time. You see time is money just like presented in the movie "In Time" that may be the reality later because you can earn money again but not on earth you can get time back. You have to use it sensibly because it's your time, god gave to you, it's only for you, and no one else can waste your time unless you let them do so. Now what happened with me was I changed myself but I did not need to change at all, I became polite and generous and this worked against me, you see if you've goals and dreams so big then you don't have enough time to be generous, you have to become self-centered. That's how it works, now just think about Rocky Balboa's speech to his son, if you have not seen the Rocky series then just go and die.

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done. Now, if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hit, and not point fingers saying you ain't where you are because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain't you. You're better than that!"

This is the speech that helps me keep moving. I will move I will rise and you won't see me because you will be deep down in earth out of shame and disgust. I promise that I am a beast I want success and I will achieve it at any cost, no son of a bitch can stop me never ever.

I am Vivek Choudhary.

Then the time come for you to be your own man and take on the world, and you did. But somewhere along the line, you changed. You stopped being you. You let people stick a finger in your face and tell you you’re no good. And when things got hard, you started lookin’ for something to blame, like a big shadow.

But it ain’t about how hard you hit, it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done!
Now if you know what you’re worth, then go out and get what you’re worth! But you gotta be willing to take the hits. And not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!
I’m always gonna love you no matter what. No matter what happens. You’re my son and you’re my blood. You’re the best thing in my life. But until you start believing in yourself, you ain’t gonna have a life.
Don’t forget to visit your mother.”
